The Nest
The nest is a sign of life. It needs care and warmth in order to mature and grow. In the same way our hopes and dreams need our attention and care. The thee eggs are seeds of inspiration, three lives with courage to be honest seeking truth and justice and asking brave questions: Harry Belafonte, Daniel Ellsberg, Sinead O’Connor. What inspiration do they bring to you? What do you want to grow in your nest?
Where is love?
Honoring bell hooks writings about love, this video installation questions the lack of love, compassion and action on the frequent school shootings.
Never written letters
Have you ever wished to have said something to a person who is no longer in your life? This installation was an opportunity for closure asking visitors to write those letters and leave them there to be burn at the end of the show to let the message go free.
Performance/video instalación Tiempos paralelos
El proyecto explora y compara un tiempo emocional representado en el hacer un equipaje personal de recuerdos y ausencias y la naturaleza donde los ciclos son más largos y fluidos.
Tiempos paralelos es una video instalación que cuenta con dos video proyecciones provenientes de dos puntos opuestos del espacio que pasan a través de 2 pantallas transparentes entre de las cuales el público puede interferir colocándose ponchos blancos (de este modo ellos son también parte de la pantalla).
El paralelismo de las proyecciones provoca conexiones con nuestro propio cuerpo como pequeños planetas de agua, aire, tierra y fuego, especialmente cuando nos vemos reflejados en los espejos que acompañan a la instalación.
